Figma Timeline vs Gantt Chart
Looking for a Figma timeline? This widget is one — and a bit more. It draws a true project timeline on the Figma / FigJam canvas, then adds the parts a plain timeline leaves out: dependencies, milestones and automatic schedule-health.
A timeline that actually plans
A visual timeline shows when things happen. A Gantt chart also shows why the dates are what they are — which task waits on which. This widget gives you both:
- Timeline view — task bars laid out by date at day / week / month / quarter / year zoom, with a today marker and weekend shading.
- Dependencies —
depends-onarrows, so moving one date reveals what it blocks. - Milestones — diamonds for launches, reviews and deadlines.
- Schedule health — overdue / blocked / done, derived and flagged for you.
When a timeline isn't enough
A plain visual timeline is perfect for a simple date range. Reach for the full Gantt when a plan has structure — phases, task-level dates, dependencies and milestones you want tracked, not just drawn.
