FAQ

How do I make a Gantt chart in Figma?

Add the Gantt Chart Widget to a Figma or FigJam file, create a phase (a swim-lane row), then add task bars with start and end dates. Link tasks with depends-on arrows and drop milestones where they matter. The Quick Start Guide walks through it step by step.

Can I reschedule a bar by dragging it?

No — the Figma widget API has no drag-and-drop. Click a bar to open the editor and change its dates there; the bar moves to match.

Can tasks depend on each other?

Yes. Draw depends-on arrows between bars — a task waiting on an unfinished predecessor is flagged blocked automatically, and impossible links (cycles or missing targets) are rejected.

Does it work in FigJam?

Yes — the widget runs in both Figma and FigJam.

What does the free version include?

A free project holds up to 8 items, 2 phases and 1 milestone. The paid upgrade (through Figma's native checkout) removes those limits.
